Our diamonds are clearly the eternal perfection of all that is enchanting, captivating, and breathtaking.

What is Diamond Shape?

Diamond shape refers to the external geometric appearance of a diamond. Learn about round brilliant and fancy shaped diamonds, and discover which diamond shape suits your individual style preferences.

Round diamonds tend to be priced higher than other shapes because of their incredible brilliance, market demand, and increased manufacturing costs. Other diamonds are fancy-shaped diamonds, including princess, emerald, Asscher, cushion, marquise, radiant, oval, pear, and heart.

What Is Diamond Cut?

The cut grade is considered an essential factor of a diamond’s beauty and brilliance. A well-cut diamond will be well proportioned, symmetrical and beautifully polished. The diamond-cut must not be too deep or shallow, as this will limit the stone’s sparkle.

What Is Diamond Carat?

Carats, not to be confused with karats of gold, describe the unit of measurement for the physical weight of diamonds. One carat equals 1/5 gram and is subdivided into 100 points. A diamond may have a higher carat weight without appearing larger, and two diamonds of the same carat weight can vary in size if one is cut more profound than the other. In other words, it is essential to note that carat weight does not necessarily denote size.

CERTIFICATION

A diamond certificate, also known as a diamond grading report, is an easily understood document prepared by an expert gemologist that describes the key characteristics. A certificate from a gemological laboratory verifies the quality of a loose diamond and allows non-experts to make educated diamond-buying decisions. Diamond Certification’s most common labs are GIA, AGS, IGI, EGL, GSI, and HRD.
